About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity & Development Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in information security and software development. This on-site internship opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or students pursuing careers in cybersecurity and development with 0-2 years of experience. The intern will work closely with our security and development teams to support various initiatives, learn industry best practices, and contribute to real-world projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills, understand security vulnerabilities, and gain exposure to secure coding practices in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans on applications and systems
- Support the development team in writing and testing secure code
- Help monitor and analyze security logs and alerts for potential threats
- Participate in code reviews with a focus on identifying security vulnerabilities
- Assist in documenting security policies, procedures, and technical specifications
- Support incident response activities and help investigate security events
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and development trends
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned projects
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and common vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++
- Knowledge of web application security and OWASP Top 10
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols
- Ability to work on-site at the company location
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
